Jude Anderson and Alan Cousill at Pucara Alpaca Stud have been farming and trading alpacas since 1990. They breed both huacaya and suri alpacas and currently farm over 400 animals on two farms next to the beautiful Surf Coast of Victoria .They also run a large suri cross program that now is producing National champions.

It is not a well known fact that Pucara since 2004 have farmed alpacas in the United States. The basis for their award winning suri herd and elite huacaya males are based on Peruvian genetics sourced via the US. Pucara International currently run a herd in Oregon .
